Making Babies should be fun.

Even though we are not making babies the normal way, we sure are having fun. I never thought that we would be having this much fun. I honestly thought I would be an emotional wreck and unable to enjoy Thailand, much less each other. I have heard so many bad things and have had so many warnings from people that I really thought I was going to be a miserable being. I know that there may be a day, especially after the embryo transfer, that i do have a much harder time with the hormones creating a lot of hard emotions. But for now thanks to God and His word, I have been fine.

As a matter of fact the only real thing that I have been dealing with is fatigue. Unfortunately this does interfere with having a normal active day. Today for example I took a nap about two hours after I had woken up for the morning. Poor Gregg ends up sitting on the bed watching old 90’s movies while I sleep, that is unless he is napping as well. I am hoping that we can go do some tours soon, especially before we do the embryo transfer. But, we will have to see if i can stay awake long enough to book the tour! Oh man, who ever heard of someone sleeping away a trip to Thailand!?

Well one thing we have really enjoyed is getting out and having dinner somewhere new and then go to a night market. We enjoyed the Sunday Night Market that we went to on Sunday, but we really enjoyed the Night Bazaar that we went to on Valentines day. After having dinner at a local Irish Pub we enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the crafts that people were selling. We were lucky to also have Josh and Alicia join us to show us around even more of the market. So far I have still not bought anything, but we have had a lot of fun walking around with some tea or ice cream.

When we are not out and about we have really enjoyed our hotel. We love just sitting around, checking Facebook, playing scrabble, reading scripture, and getting to know each other even better. It has been a lot of fun being able to see each other so much. At home Gregg and I work very different schedules, so having all of this time together is such a breath of fresh air (that is a big deal here considering the horrible air quality!).

Here are a few photos of our Valentines dinner and a night at the market as well as a few other photos from the day after Valentines.

This sign was up at a great smothie shop. They also have great breakfast sandwiches.

A quick picture for the album.

Something about this just seems wrong.

A resturant at the Market.

Lots of tables all full of crafts.

We sat and had some lemon grass tea and OJ while we watched this man finish the last 1/3 of this charcoal drawing.

To bad I don't like seafood, they sure do have a lot of it here.

Cool lights.

This is where World Market gets their Jewelry. So many beautiful things.

This is understood no matter what language you speak.

Josh is showing off his feminine side.

These flowers are carved out of soap and then painted. They are so beautiful and smell great!

Gregg and I waiting for the blood results at the clinic. They kept me on the same dosage. All good 🙂

Tuesday Night dinner with Josh and Alicia.

BEFORE. A special traditional treat. Sticky rice steamed in bamboo. YUM!

AFTER. It is just about gone. To yummy to take photos of the insides.

Gregg I and I go into see the Doctor again tomorrow at 5:30pm. We will have an ultrasound to see how things are responding to the medications. Then from there we will again see if the medication needs to be adjusted. I will also start a second medication. So we will let you know tomorrow how everything went and what they put me on. Here comes more fun!

Until later,

Colossians 3: 1-4 “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.  For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

I am so happy to hear you are responding well to the medication….napping is better than hormone upheaval anyday!! Your mind is stayed on Christ, and on his word, and that will continue to make all the difference, Kathleen. We are praying now specifically for this over the next few weeks – that God will keep you on an even keel, that your head and your heart – by the GRACE OF GOD – can rise above any “feelings” that may try to poke their little heads up and pollute your attitude! Isn’t it great to know that love, joy, peace, patience, …all those beautiful fruit….are OURS because of His Holy Spirit that dwells in us? (I need to work on using that self-discipline one more. hmm…..) I hope you continue to enjoy yourselves – that is such a treasured jewel in this story…
